Tier I: PERSONAL LEADERSHIP
Tier I promotes exploration of personal leadership. Its
focus is to find and develop the leader within. This is achieved
through sessions aimed at developing ethics, etiquette, and creativity.
The requirements for Tier I are as follows:
Sessions: At least seven lecture sessions featuring speakers from both
on and off campus are offered. These are aimed at personal development.
Community Service: UELA believes that in service, leaders discovers the
most about themselves. Members are required to complete 10 hours of
volunteer community service.
Endorsed Forum: UELA members must attend at least one endorsed forum.
These consist of any featured campus speaker or government meeting.
They must lead a discussion on the leadership implications of the
endorsed forum and submit a reflective essay.

Tier II: PEER LEADERSHIP
Tier II concentrates on leadership within groups.
Structured similarly to Tier I, it focuses on topics related to
leadership of peers, such as communication, organization, and
relationship skills.

Tier III: COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP
Tier III adds the community aspect of leadership. This
tier builds upon the skills learned in the previous tiers. Tier III
members must apply the skills toward community group projects.
Service Capstone Project: Tier III members must create and carry out a
group community service event in which the community and other UELA
members participate.
UELI Outreach Program: The University of Evansville Leadership
Institute (UELI) is a leadership development program within UELA that
is designed, marketed, and presented by members of Tier III. It
consists of a leadership training seminar designed by Tier III to
prepare Tier II for their community service capstone project.
Endorsed Forum: UELA members must attend at least two endorsed forums.
These consist of any featured campus speaker or government meeting.
They must lead a discussion on the leadership implications of each
endorsed forum and submit a reflective essay.
